Course Description
This is a two-year course that is assessed by Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET) and Curriculum Development and Competency Assessment Certification that is certified by the government, which includes 28 Units. This will ensure that our students are knowledgeable in all the factors that make up Theatre arts. This means that our students have the knowledge to become,

Instructional formats include lectures, practical work, and field trips. Every unit is taught three hours per week.

Course Description
Theatre Arts caters for students who have diverse drama backgrounds or interests. It therefore attracts students with a formal drama background as well as those with only informal experience. This curriculum is designed to provide students with practical and creative opportunities to acquire skills, knowledge, understanding and experience at the highest level of complexity in the field of theatre arts. Through a practical study of theatre, students are exposed to a wide range of theatrical experiences and stagecraft. The learning in Theatre Arts is more meaningful and interesting when students are engaged in practical and creative activities.

Short Courses
This course is designed to enable the students acquire adequate skills in acting; explore existing acting styles and conventions that have being used over the years
The course will include pantomime, improvisation, characterization, memorization, skits, and scenes. Students learn to develop voice skills, create a character, evaluate a play, and perform in scenes. The history of the theater, etiquette, dialects, memorization, and introduction to vocational possibilities are also included.
In this course students will learn the theory and practice of writing for the stage by using a step by step, systematic approach that involves weekly writing assignments. In these exercises, students explore the creation of setting, development of characters, working with conflict, putting together a scenario, and writing a scene. The purpose of the course is to combine a disciplined system of writing with a collaborative approach to the development of communication and critical thinking skills.
Students are expected to learn how to solicit criticism from others and offer it in a constructive, positive, supportive manner and write a one act play.
This course is tailored to introduce students to the art of stage Directing. Students will become familiar with the internal and external resources available to a director of live theatre. Students will explore the roots of the art of directing in theatre history and develop specific vocabulary and tools to utilize as potential directors of future independent theatre projects.
Through lectures and seminars, students will learn about the elements of direction, including play selection, text analysis, venue selection, casting the play, overseeing the rehearsal process, collaborating with the design team and technical crew, and developing a working knowledge of the economics of live theatre production.
The course is tailored and designed to introduce students to the key areas of stage design namely; sound, scenic, lighting, costume and make-up. A theory introduction through lecture and demonstration of all four areas of theatrical design: scenic, costume and make up, lighting, and sound.
The course is designed to expose students to both the art and business aspects of theatre, preparing them for a career in arts administration and management. The course includes the following topics; Business registration, Advancement/Community Engagement, Business/Company Management, Culture of Theatre Production, Financial Management, Managerial Concepts and Practices, Script Analysis, pitching and human resource management.
